Our founder, Dr. Zvezdomir Zamfirov (Dr. Zed), established All Star Pain Management and Regenerative Medicine on pillars of integrity, respect, compassion and perfectionism. Meet Our Pain Relief Experts, Your Team for Life

As a former professional Bulgarian soccer player, Dr. Zed established a passion for helping athletes overcome their sports-related injuries early on. Dr. Zed received his medical degree from the Plovdiv Medical University in 1987 and proceeded to practice as an orthopedic surgeon in Bulgaria for many years, treating a large number of high-level professional athletes. Upon moving to the United States, he completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at Georgetown University and has been treating patients in the Baltimore/Washington Metro since 2007. In 2017, Dr. Zed opened All Star Pain Management and Regenerative Medicine.

Dr. Zed is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is personally involved with all of our patients' care from start to finish, ensuring you receive the highest-quality treatment from the moment you enter our offices until the moment you leave.

Janet Ascione, NP-C

Janet Ascione, NP-C, brings several years of nursing experience and genuine compassion, kindness and professionalism to her patients at All Star Pain Management and Regenerative Medicine. With board-certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and a master's degree in nursing, Janet provides all of our patients with her certified expertise and a natural aptitude for extraordinary patient care.

Patrick Comegys, PA

Patrick Comegys, PA, has recently joined our practice, adding his extensive orthopedic experience and skill to our team. Patrick graduated from Salisbury University and received his PA degree from Towson University. He continued to improve his education and garner valuable experience working in emergency medicine at the University of Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Patrick eventually transitioned to orthopedic medicine, which he has been specializing in for more than eight years.
